It is vital to our country that we lead in creating good-paying American jobs by being at the forefront of industries like clean energy and advanced vehicles. Market forces, not mandates, will favor manufacturers who make renewable energy products. We will lose market share in the new economy if we don't try to be the first to manufacture the products that the world is waiting for. The future belongs to manufacturers who are willing to innovate. Macomb and Oakland Counties have both shown this leadership with their commitment to EV.
